Leon received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology from MIT. He studied the assembly of nanodots into super nanoparticles with Dr. Moungi Bawendi and the interplay between dendritic cells and T cells in cancer immunology with Dr. Stefani Spranger. After graduating, he continued at MIT as a Research Assistant and volunteered as an EMT for the Boston and Cambridge communities. Leon joined Dr. Vincent Tagliabracci's lab to discover something strange and new to progress our human understanding of weird proteins.
Leon enjoys photography, 3D printing, and visiting aquariums. He hopes to see manta rays and whale sharks in the wild one day.
